Nahni,
Â
I was looking for the same song when I ran across you post.
I have found the;
Â
Statue of Liberty
Words and Music by Neil Enloe
In New York Harbor stands a lady, with a torch raised to the sky,
And all who see her knows she stands for liberty for you and me.
I’m so proud to be called an American,
to be named with the brave and the free,
I will honor our flag and our trust in God,
and the Statue of Liberty,
On lonely Golgotha stood a cross, with my lord raised to the sky,
And all who kneel there live forever,
as all the saved can testify.
I’m so glad to be called a Christian,
to be named with the ransomed and whole;
As the statue liberates the citizen,
so the cross liberates the soul.
O the cross is my statue of liberty,
It was there that my soul was set free,
Unashamed I’ll proclaim that a rugged cross
Is my statue of Liberty
Â
Â
Hope that this helped.
Â
Dave

My Dear David,
Â
Thank you so much for your help in locating the missing lyrics to this song!
Â
I am so grateful!. It was not in time to be able to sing at his funeral (it would have been perfect) but it is in time to sing at a family function later this month, where he will be prominantly honored.
Â
This is one of the best ways I could honor him and his recent return to the christian fold. He had been a very patriotic man all of his life and dearly loved our country. In his last few years he also came back to God and this song best represents the two biggest influences in his daily life!
Â
God bless you and you are in my prayers.
Â
If it is alright with you, I would like to leave another message for you after our family get-together and let you know how it went.
Â
Love in Christ,
Nahni (Karen)

Hi I saw you request and researched a little and I think the song that you are looking for is called "God Is" by James Cleveland written by Rober Fryson the lyrics are:
Verse I
God is my protection,
God is my all in all
God is my guide and direction.
God is my all in all.
Verse 2
God is my joy in time of sorrow.
God is my all in all.
God is my today and tomorrow
God is my all in all
Chorus:
God is the joy and the strenth of my life.
He moves all pain, misery, and strife
He promised to keep me, never to leave me.
He's never ever come short of His word.
I've got to fast and pray, stayin His narrow way.
I've got to keep my life clean everyday;
I want to go with Him when He comes back,
I've come to far and I'll never turn back.
God is (8x)
God is my all in all.

It's been several years ago, probably more like ten, since I heard a song on the radio that brought me to tears and sobbing.
I am looking for the artist and title of the song. Since it's been some time ago since I heard the song, I can only tell you how it goes:
Â
The song was sang by a powerfully soulful singer, she simply WOWed me. She sang of hard times, desperately hard times that led her to a life of drugs and prostitution. She sang that the only thing left for her was to die!
Â
Till one day, I forget how, Jesus was introduced into her life. She found GOD and he lifted her Up. Miracluously, her pimp was also saved and lifted up along with her. Some time afterward they married; and in the song I believe she gave reference of how long they had been married.
Â
This song was a singing/narrated testomony of how she and her now husband found Jesus Christ! This song is incredibly powerful! It will make you cry and strengthen your belief in what is most important.
Â
I heard this song one time ten years ago and it has left a lasting impression on me. Please, please forward any information you can to me about this song.
Â
Thank you,
Justin Hudson

Dear David.
I am sorry that I haven't gotten back to you before now. Things have been quite hectic since my fathers passing.
I told you that I would let you know how things went with this song. It was wonderful. Everyone was quite pleased with the song and felt that it totally represented my father and his beliefs.
I must thank you again for getting the lyrics to me and tell you that you are in my prayers.
God bless and have a great life.
Feel free to contact me again if you wish.

hey; just ran across your web site and I think it is wonderful. I went to church as a young girl with my parents and I remember the chorus to a song that I have tried to find the lyrics to for a long time. I hope someone out there can help me . the chorus goes :
And when I get to Heaven, gonna look around
I'm gonna wear my robe and my starry crown.
I'm gonna seek out Jesus, gonna say hello
and renew old aquanence with the ones that I know
I'm gonna take a stroll right down the streets of gold
I'm gonna look at the mansions grand
I'll hear Him say well done , the victory you have won
way up in Heavens glory land
Â
If anyone can help it would be great ,and thank you in advance. God Bless
