Hello!

My name is Gayle and I just found this awsome web site. I need help with some lyrics. The song is by a couple I met thirty years ago called Dave and Daina Price. Dave was from England and Daina from Maryland. They ministered here six months out of the year to earn the money to minister in England the other six months. At that time christian artist were just not paid for their music in England. Anyway, the song was 'Doin My Job For Jesus.

The lyrics that I remember are:

I was wondering if someone on here could help me, my grandmother passed away on Friday and we heard a song on the radio on the way home and we really want to play the song at the funeral. I have spent hours on the computer looking everywhere and anywhere I have thought to look. I tried calling the radio station and there is noone there to answer the phones. So here is the question, the song starts out with a man singing in a very deep voice. We only have pieces of the lyrics but here they are...... If you only knew, the sun is always shinning, and something about god answering your prayers but not in the way you wanted. If anyone could help me out asap that would be great, the funeral is sunday and monday.

I heard a gospel love song on the radio. I only heard a small portion of it, the words were"Everytime you think about love you otta think about me" or something similar. I thought the DJ said it Carlton Jones was the Artist but, I haven't heard it anymore and I cannot find anything. Please help me

My Dear David,

Thank you so much for your help in locating the missing lyrics to this song!

I am so grateful!. It was not in time to be able to sing at his funeral (it would have been perfect) but it is in time to sing at a family function later this month, where he will be prominantly honored.

This is one of the best ways I could honor him and his recent return to the christian fold. He had been a very patriotic man all of his life and dearly loved our country. In his last few years he also came back to God and this song best represents the two biggest influences in his daily life!

It's been several years ago, probably more like ten, since I heard a song on the radio that brought me to tears and sobbing.

I am looking for the artist and title of the song. Since it's been some time ago since I heard the song, I can only tell you how it goes:

The song was sang by a powerfully soulful singer, she simply WOWed me. She sang of hard times, desperately hard times that led her to a life of drugs and prostitution. She sang that the only thing left for her was to die!

Till one day, I forget how, Jesus was introduced into her life. She found GOD and he lifted her Up. Miracluously, her pimp was also saved and lifted up along with her. Some time afterward they married; and in the song I believe she gave reference of how long they had been married.

This song was a singing/narrated testomony of how she and her now husband found Jesus Christ! This song is incredibly powerful! It will make you cry and strengthen your belief in what is most important.

I heard this song one time ten years ago and it has left a lasting impression on me. Please, please forward any information you can to me about this song.

I was listing to an old gospel tape in which the chior was singing a song I believe the name was O Jerusalem. I believe that there are many songs with that title but one verse i was able to make out was...how many wisemen,teachers and prophets must I send among you. Anyone know who wrote that song? A bit of background info just to let you know i am. Im From New Zealand and i attend Break Through Church. Our church vision revolves around the idea to redeem and restore all systems back to it's original intent. Before the fall of man ofcorse.and be able to give everything back to Him.

Im a part of the Praise and Worship team, a pianist and i know that one of my callings revolves around gospel music. Creating sounds which have the ability to heal and work miracles while glorifying our God.To break down walls and barriers which may hold us bound from moving forward and advancing His Kingdom here on Earth. My heart is to fully adopt and bring down the sounds of heaven. And for me personally, when i play, the melodies hich resound through the speakers can sometimes feel like frequencies of God speaking. My form of prayer.

Its like speaking in tounges. The meloies portray a message either from me to Him or From Him to me but the overall Idea here is that the sounfd of music is a communication tool which is indeed powerful. However what i sometimes struggle with is the ability to brong that out in words for everyone else to join in. Like how it is when one tries to interpret anothers tounges? Which is why ive approached you since you have the heart to share. But thats a bit about me for you.

Im keen to email copies of finished work if you want? thats if you decide to allow me to look through some of your works??hehe.

Ever since even before I was a teenager I have always loved to listen to the Chuck Wagon Gang. I'm the ultimate Chuck Wagon Gang fanatic. In my opinion, they're the best gospel music group ever. There are some very good groups out there, but nobody can sing gospel music the way they did. I remember them singing a song that I believe is probably the song you are referring to, and I think maybe it's a spiritual called, "I'm Gonna See Heaven." That chorus comes to my mind ofen, especially when I need encouragement, although I don't recall all the words to the entire song. Do you have the rest of the lyrics? If not and you would like to have them, the words may be in some of my Chuck Wagon Gang songbooks. Please let me know.

The name of the song is "Voice of the Shepherd"

The 1st chorus goes:

In my Father's House. If anyone has a lead for me, please help. When I was growing up, my Mom had some old gospel albums. There was one song I remember that I can't find now. All the websites keep taking me to a song by Elvis Presley. Some of the lyrics were - "everything is alright in my Father's house, in my Father's house there's peace, happiness will never cease". It was a fast song, I remember. This would have been in the 60's, but the ablums were old 33 1/3 so the song is probably older.

Some good ones we've used for Black History at our church are Wade in the Water; Swing Low Sweet Chariot, and Take My Hand Precious Lord. Many website will give you the history behind these songs which we always include. Most youth,and many parent don't know where the songs orginated or why.
