The Irony Lyrics

The echo within me resounds even more, As legions of skeletons walk through the door. I try to escape, but my ankles are bound. I fall on my face as they gather around.

Pull at my sanity, yank at my heart, sever the feelings I have. Forfeit humanity, tear me apart. Stop that, it tickles. You’re making me laugh.

I no longer run, for I’ve been given wings. I circle above all the ravenous things. They snap at each other, when they can’t reach me. Killing each other, it’s so good to see.

Far above the tainted pool of all the fallen’s blood, I can see the seraphim descending like a flood. Pondering the irony of all that has been done, I endure the final darkness, waiting for the Sun
