This book is designed as an accessory to the Lillenas hymnal, Worship in Song. The two books are indentical in matters of numerical sequence, key, meter, and tempo indications. The harmonic structure is also basically the same with only slight variations. In this book, an occasional passing chord has been inserted between syllables of the hymn or as a pickup to the refrain. Infrequently, an additional chord tone (a 7th, for example), not part of the hymnal harmony in the hymnal and not to clash with it.
