This book contains readings for the four high points of the Christian year - Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and Pentecost. They can be used for personal reflection and for public worship. In addition there is a course of Lent meditations on the theme of 'Spiritual Gifts'. This is designed to be used by individuals alone, and by groups. Both the readings and the meditations are by writers from every Christian tradition and from every century of the Christian era. Some of the names are familiar, and some have remained unjustly obscure; all speak to our present condition.
