As It Was is an interdisciplinary approach to various cultures in history. It takes broad-based concepts and applies them to a particular culture, people, or period of time. Students are provided with opportunities to investigate aspects of past cultures through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math, Art/Music. Includes issues such as Democracy, Classical Greek Architecture, and the Hellenistic Age. Some of the people highlighted include: Homer, Pericles, Socrates, Plato, Aristole and Achimedes. Places include: Troy, Mount Olympus, The Parthenon, Delphi, Sparta and more. Reproducible student pages for individual teacher use only.
