Anna dreads spending the summer in hot, sticky Baltimore, so she is thrilled when she receives an invitation to visit Aggie and Uncle George on their farm. There she will be able to wade in the pond, play in the barn, and drink freshly squeezed lemonade. It isn't until she arrives in the country that Anna learns she will also have to put up with her uncle's troublesome nephew, Theodore. Right away Theodore steals her hair ribbon and makes her rip her dress. What's worse, he calls her a stuck up city slicker! But Anna is determined to enjoy her time on the farm despite Theodore's teasing and tricks. Set just before the First World War, this is a lifely, humorous follow up to Anna All Year Round, the author's first book about Anna.
