As It Was in Colonia America makes the colonial period of American history come alive. Exciting full color photography--taken 'on location' at Jamestown, Plymouth, Wiliamsburg, Philipsburg Manor, and Van Cortlandt Manor--give an authentic picture of early American life. Students are introduced to the many facets of colonial times: how the people lived, worked, and played. They come to understand and appreciate the courage, dedication, and perseverance of America's early settlers. Zooming, panning, dissolving, and other video camera techniques are utilzed to provide interest and variety. Grades 3-6.
