A unit study on Aviation by Esther Julicher! Use Flying and Aviation as the basis for a solid academic unit. Aviation includes research questions on their history, the parts of plane, and the different kinds of planes. There are many resources, including the internet sites and addresses to write for free information about planes. Many different activities for all ages are included. Your unit on Aviation and Flying may take a month or it can be used in part of a wonderful week off from your regular studies. Choose among many great activities: poems, essays, book reports, posters, and research interviews. There is a field trip planned into the unit too, complete with interview questions. Count the hours spent studying Aviation and give your student credit for doing this unit. Students may log anywhere from 1/4 credit to a whole credit of Science using this book.
