God Himself instituted marriage, and He meant it to be something wonderful, an example in the earth of the flow of His wisdom, His love and His protection. He designed marriage to be orderly, not chaotic. He designed marriage to be calm, not tempestuous. He designed marriage to be a miraculous joining of two into one, even as the Father and Son are one. He wants husbands and wives to work toward Becoming One Flesh.
