The Bible Study Guide For All Ages consists of four units (four years) of study. Some Old Testament and some New Testament lessons are studied each year so that students will have an opportunity to study great spiritual truths as faith, love, salvation, worship, the church, sin, etc. in each unit. The studies begin with three young men - Joseph, Daniel, and Jesus - about which nearly everyone has some knowledge. These studies provide the foundation for future learning experiences. The units are designed to review old information and add on new information, while application is being encouraged. Review (transition) lessons promote continuity. Less study time has been allowed for poetical and prophetic books. Some sections, such as Jesus' life, are studied in logical segments, rather than en masse so that events can be better categorized in the student's mind. In studying Paul's journeys and letters, a journey is interrupted when he wrote a letter to study that letter in the context of the writing. Likewise, the Old Testament prophets are studied as they appeared during the divided and conquered kingdoms. Unit 4 covers Jesus, Paul, and Prophets.
