This is a one volume work containing the Novum Testamentum 27th edition and the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. Novum Testamentum 27th The Greek text of the Nestle-Aland 27th Edition reproduces that of the 26th Edition unchanged. With rare exceptions, the paragraphing and punctuation remain the same. The critical apparatus (footnotes indicating alternate Greek wording for the text) of the 27th Edition has been considerably revised to make it more reliable, expressive and convenient. Extensive corrections have been made in all aspects of the apparatus. Changes include: The manuscript witnesses were reviewed-- replacing some insignificant witnesses with other new witnesses of greater importance. The number of uncial fragments included has diminished, and several uncial fragments are no longer cited. Koine miniscules are no longer cited consistently. All the papyri with their special readings are now cited in every passage selected for the apparatus whenever they are clearly legible. Signs have been standardized and defined more precisely. The introduction has been re-written in order to present essential information as precisely and clearly as possible. Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia The complete Hebrew Bible. Knowledge of Hebrew A must, since the entire text is in Hebrew. This contains the text plus text apparatus (the apparatus lists in detail alternate Hebrew readings from various manuscripts; these are located at the foot of each page of Hebrew text). This volume is a revision of Kittel, Biblia Hebraica, prepared by H.P. Ruger and other scholars on the basis of the Leningrad Public Library manuscript B 19A, with a thorough revision of the Masoretic apparatus.
