When Father Joseph Malloy published the first edition of this Cathechism For Inquirers, he wrote in the foreward: 'It is hoped that this little book will explain the teachinof the Catholic Church in such a way that the reader may be induced to inquire further into the claims of the church.' In presenting a newly revised edition, therefore, the publisher has been careful to retain the original substance of this guide except for appropriate references to the Decrees of Vatican Council II and subsequent liturgical changes.
