In Catholocism: East of Eden former Roman Catholic priest Richard Bennett shares his journey out of Catholicism. He compares the Roman Catholic Church to Cain when he left the presence of God in Eden and turned 'east of Eden' to live out his life. In this book he repudiates Rome's claim to authority stating that 'the very fact that the Catholic Church will not accept the Sriptures as the ultimate authority confirms the fact that she is not of God.'
