Going beyond the polemics og post-Reformation theology, the author shows how the concept of 'sacrament-mystery' underlies the whole of humankind's encournter with God. In this way, he is able to make the reader see in a new light the meaning of the Incarnation and the Redemption, and so better understand the nature and role of the Church.
