Upon Luther's insistence Elector John appointed a team of visitors who were to look into the economic and religious conditions of parishes in Saxony. This work sereved as a basis for reoganizing church practices in territories where the gospel, as understood by the reformers, had been accepted. THE KEYS (1530).
