As a Law book, Deuteronomy is essentially Israel's national, or founding legislative document. Continuing from this perspective, Duane Christensen, seeks to make his readers aware of the critical issues regarding the book by examining its background, text, and socio-cultural setting. This commentary is certainly one of the best available on Deuteronomy and promises to be a valuable resource into the future.
