Scientists often attest that it must have taken billions of years for distant starlight to reach us on earth today; they then take this claim and apply it to the big bang, saying that the earth must be billions of years old, since it's taken that long to see! Dr. Lisle disagrees with this argument and gives us some alternative possibilites, explaining how different models work, along with their various strengths and weaknesses. He also shows us regardless of the theory, why arguments of this nature cannot logically be applied to the big bang, since the big bang theory has a distant starlight problem of its own!
