A unit study on cats by Sarah Julicher! Use Dogs and Puppies as the basis for a solid academic unit. Dogs includes research questions on their history, the parts of dogs, breeding, domestication of dogs,working dogs, and the different kinds of dogs. There are many resources, including the internet sites and addresses to write for free information about cats. Many different activities for all ages are included. Your unit on Dogs and Puppies may take a month or it can be used in part for a wonderful week off from your regular studies. Choose among many great activities: poems, essays, book reports, posters, and research interviews. There is a field trip planned into the unit too, complete with interview questions and things to llok for at the pet store or breeder's place of business. Count the hours spent studying dogs and give your student credit for doing this unit. Students may log anywhere from 1/4 credit to a whole credit of Animal Science using this book.
