This edition marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Dorothy Day (1897-1980), cofounder of the Catholic Worker movement, and one of the most inspiring figures of recent history. By her lifelong option for the por and her devotion to active nonviolence, Day fashioned a new face for the gospel in our time. In 2000 the Vatican recognized her cause for canonization, and she was officially termed 'Servant of God.'
