Is it 'bear' or 'bare'? Is it 'two' or 'to' or maybe even 'too'? Homophones are one of the great mysteries of the English language. Mistakes can be funny and sometimes embarrassing. Computers can do a lot for us nowadays, but don't expect spell check to tell you if it's a pair/pear that consists of to/too/two things. This workbook will help writers learn the proper use of homophones, which are words that sound alike but have totally different meanings. After a description of the meaning of each set of homophones, the student 'fills in the blank' with the correct spelling.
