The Scriptures speaks of numerous events that occured 'early in the morning,' many of them are of deep spiritual significance. Joshua rose early in the morning on the day Jericho fell; King Darius rose very early to see if the Lord had preserved Daniel from the lions; the Lord rose up a great while before day to pray; and three faithful women went to a tomb at the rising of the sun only to find it empty. Using this theme as a common thread the author presents more than one hundred devotionals that center on events that happened at the dawning of the day.
