Earth's history is usually measured in terms of years. From the creation to Christ, there is estimated to have been about four thousand years, and from Christ to the present another two thousand years, totaling six thousand years. In contrast, this book divides history into four spiritual days, four being the number associated with the earth. That is, the day of Creation, the day of Adam, the day of Jesus Christ, and the day of Resurrection and Judgment, (also referred to as the parousia of our Lord Jesus Christ, or, as Jesus Himself put it, the day heaven and earth pass away), leading to life everlasting or the lake of fire. The book also deals with the obstacles involved and the part suffering plays in our walk on the road to maturity, emphasizes the two-fold aspect of Jesus' ministry, and through His own words, identifies the exact day the Rapture will occur without conflicting with Jesus' warning: 'of that day and hour, no one knows.' It should also help to bring unity to our views concerning the Rapture, and the place of the millennium in God's plan of the ages.
