Con un número creciente de adeptos a la fe Mormona, se hace necesario analizar los fundamentos de su doctrina y sus afirmaciones. Muchos Mormones han aceptado los argumentos propuestos por su fe, basado en pocos o ningunos hechos de la Biblia. Aunque reconciliarse con Dios necesita fe, esta no se opone a nuestra capacidad racional de diferenciar entre lo bueno y lo malo. Por lo contrario, no es solamente nuestra derecho sino nuestro trabajo el examinar toda pretensión de verdad, aunque sea traída por 'revelación divina.' Esto es nuestra carga Escritural, y es el propósito de este libro.
With the growing number of Mormons today, it becomes necessary to analyze the fundamentals of their doctrine and assertions. Many Mormons have accepted arguments proposed by their faith, based on little or no knowledge of the Bible. Even though reconciliation with God requires faith, in no way should that impede our rational ability to examine everything and retain only the good. On the contrary, it is not only our right but our task to examine all pretenses of truth, even if it is brought by 'divine revelation.' This is our Scriptural charge, and the mission of this book.
