Evangelism is a necessary component of a healthy faith, and John Bowen's experience in thinking through that implication is the basis for this book. Focusing on the history of evangelism throughout Scripture as well as his own journey, the first half of the book presents what a biblically based evangelistic mindset should look like. Following these threads through the second half of the book, Bowen gives a clear definition of what the Gospel truly is (which is missing from many books on evangelism, strangely enough) as well as addressing some of the toughest questions that often crop up while witnessing, such as the eternality of Hell and why Christians evangelize those of other religions. A proper stress on repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior gives this manual the perspective it needs to become highly useful in evangelism ministries, churches and personal libraries.
