Theological field education is beginning to emerge from the alchemy stage. Just as there is no magic way to convert iron into gold, there is no magic way to convert an inexperienced student into a mature minister. As a new science emerged from alchemy experiments, a new field of study (field education) is emerging from previous practical theology courses and field training. This book is an outgrowth of such experience and seeks to help ministers function appropriately in ministry.
