Did it take millions of years to form the Grand Canyon? Hardly, says renowned geologist Dr. Steven Austin. After evaluating empirical evidence about strata formation gleaned at Mount St. Helens; fossilized nautiloids found in the canyon; and other key indicators, Austin concludes the Grand Canyon was created rapidly by catastrophic rushing water. The five points of his lecture are easily recalled: Strata, Tectonics, Erosion, Volcanoes, and Exponential decline. Approx. 57 minutes.
