The cross of Christ not only demonstrated God's love, but also revealed God's integrity. We are not likely to forget the first truth, but in many quarters we are losing sight of the second. There is a very close connection between our doctrine of God, our doctrine of the Atonement, and our doctrine of Scripture. This book does not minimize the relation of the cross to God's love, but establishes the relation of the cross to God's integrity. God keeps his word.
