Guidance for Discipleship: A Study of 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus is one volume in the Bible Readers Series. This series of short-term Bible studies is designed to guide adults who wish to explore a particular Bible book for a limited number of sessions (four-eight). Books to be studies are primarily from the New Testament, with a few much-requested Old Testament Books. This five-session study of 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus expores the Pastoral Epistles. These letters offered guidance and advice on problems the first century churches faced. Encouragement was given to Timothy and Titus to remain faithful as they faced false teachings. Throughout the study the meaning of being a servant of Christ is considered. A servant of Christ should set a good example, teach godliness, endure suffering, teach faithfulness, and encourage community.
