The study of the Gettysburg Address is a great way to introduce young history students to one of the most eloquent arguments in the history of American democracy. In this book, students come face to face with Lincoln's writing and primary source material. This reproducible book provides activities for students to investigate this speech, as well as place it in the larger context of events that led to its writing. Six activities, each with two parts, will help students understand Lincoln, the Battle of Gettysburg, and how this address was received in contemporary accounts. Reproducible Answer Key included.
