During the late twentieth century, the Christian Church had to cause to take stock of its beliefs. In the course of the twentieth century Christian theology had many challenges to meet and has not remained unchanged by those encounters. Within the faith there have beeen radical questionings of almost every aspect of doctrine. Despite all this, there are signs that people are more willing now to listen to more constructive voices. Christians need to state how they can articulate a faith in God--Father, Son and Holy SPirit--hold convictions about the nature of man and his destiny and show the relevance of belief to conduct. C.F.D. Moule gives a plain and intellectual statement of what faith is and how it can honestly and meaningfully be expressed today.
