R. A. Torrey, noted evangelist and companion of D.L. Moody in ministry, collected dozens of scripture passages to assist laymen in preparing and delivering evangelistic material. Grouped into broad topics, such as Dealing with Skeptics, The Promise of Salvation, and Special Texts for Special People, Torrey supplies ammunition to engage the enemy and rescue lost souls. Covering issues of self-righteousness, assurance and becoming a mature believer, among others, many questions will be answered before they are asked. The author ends his introduction with these wise words: '...prepare yourself, and then allow God to use you in the glorious ministry of reconciliation.'
