The material in this volume is drawn primarily from CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY by H. Orton Wiley, and is adapted and arranged by Paul T. Culbertson. The essential purpose of the authors is to provide a text for introductory courses in Theology, and to present Christian doctrine in a brief, yet substantial form for the general use of the laity of the Church. The material has been carefully organized into seven units, each consisting of three to five chapters. Each unit is preceded by a preview, and by an outline which is carefully followed in the text of the unit. Any topic can easily be found by a quick reference to the general table of contents and the appropriate unit outline. The doctrinal emphasis of this volume is Arminian and Wesleyan. An annotated bibliography is found at the close of the volume.
