The Geneva Series of Commentaries is a set of works written by Protestant, reformed thinkers of the 16th through 19th centuries. This work on James is by the English reformer, Thomas Manton. It does not contain any introductory articles but does contain a thorough analysis of the epistle of James, focusing his linguistic tools on bringing the message and theology of this epistle into full view. Not always an easy text to read, yet is useful to pastors and informed lay people.
