The Daily Study Bible is the Old Testament extension of the Barclay's New Testament commentary series. This set of commentaries is meant to be a conservative, scholarly and readable approach to the Bible. This first volume of two on Jeremiah by Robert Davidson begins with a short introduction discussing why and when the book was written, the contents of the work, and a short section on the prophet Jeremiah himself. What follows is a verse by verse commentary on the Jeremiah drawing out the history and theology of this book. Good for lay people.
