The story of Job will help you delve deep into questions about testing, suffering, blessing, and God's sovreignty. Job is an upright person; but why does he do right? Is it because he loves God-or because he loves the good things that God gives him? The Satan claims that Job's devotion to God is not as deep as it appears. If God were to remove his blessings, would Job 'charge God with wrongdoing' (1:22), that is, would he accuse God of being unjust? Would he still worship God?
Each of the 6 sessions supplies questions for reflection and/or discussion, an 'Approach to Prayer', 'Living Tradition' and 'Saints in the Making' which offers thoughts and experiences of Christians past and present. Sessions take about an hour and a half but can be shortened if necessary for your group. The Bible text is also included.
