Both of these prophetic books contain promises of better times for the people of God. Both speak of a 'coming day of the Lord' in which his people would be vindicated and set free from the problems of oppressive peoples and natural disasters. But there is more than straight history in these books. Many theories are advanced for deeper meanings that are applicable to today's church. These are some of the least known prophets towards the end of the Old Testament canon and Busenitz's scholarship is helpful in shedding light on some of the more controversial interpretations of the text.
