Life Can Be a Wild Ride is the second collection of prayers by young teens. The 234 prayers and reflections in this book were selected from over two thousand submitted by young people, ages eleven to fourteen, from schools and parishes across North America. Like its predecessor, Looking Past the Sky, the thoughts expressed in Life Can Be a Wild Ride run the gamut of human emotion and experience. Voiced within these pages are young teens' concerns about timely topics such as school violence, abortion, divorce, depression, and wartime atrocities. The book also includes timeless reflections on painful losses, joyful celebrations, the struggles and gifts of relationships, questions about the future, the limitations of human understanding, and the day-to-day journey with God through the wild ride we call life!
