In Literature Pockets-Nursery Rhymes 12 familiar rhymes come alive through fun, exciting projects, The activities for each rhyme are stored in a labeled pocket made from construction paper. (See directions in book.) Add the charming cover and fasten the pockets together. Your students now have their own Nursery Rhymes book to treasure. Each pocket contains an illustrated copy of a nursery rhyme. Use this chart to introduce or review the rhyme before doing the activities for the rhyme. Here are some suggestions for using these charts: Make an overhead transparency of the page. Reproduce a copy for each student to follow along as you read and recite the verse together. Mount the page on construction paper and post it on a nursery rhyme bulletin board. When your nursery rhyme study is complete, bind the charts into a cover to create a book.
