There are many reasons that a Christian stumbles. King David, a man after God's own heart, became lost in his relationship with God when his desires overcame his ability to make judgments. And Peter, the 'rock', denied he knew Jesus because sometimes it's hard to follow God. Both men were lost, but returned to their first love, in true repentance, to serve their Lord stronger than ever.
