Joanne is a beautiful girl from a nice will-to-do family. Ken is from a poor broken home where he is unwanted by his single-parent father. Ken suffers from a severe case of low self-esteem, but he comes to understand his deep love for Joanne. She barely recognizes Ken's existence. Through relating the story of how Ken patiently woos Joanne, discover how these two 1970's young people realize not only their true love for each other, but the precious saving love of Jesus Christ. Their love story draws a parallel to how Jesus patiently loves, forgives, and woos unbelievers unto Himself. Important issues are dealt with: forgiveness, unworthiness, loneliness, peer pressure, the need for love and understanding, and God's incredible grace and mercy.
