Luke, The Good News of God's Mercy, shows us that God has made salvation available through Jesus of Nazareth—his birth, life, death, and resurrection. In many ways God's action through Jesus was unexpected, even for the Jewish people of the time. As you will see, the salvation Jesus brings goes far beyond what people were looking for—and makes demands on those who accept it. Six sessions take about one hour and twenty minutes each and include everything you need: Bible text, questions for discussion and application that appeal to beginners as well as to those familiar with the Bible, background notes, insights and quotes from Church fathers and saints, and suggestions for prayer. All combine to help you grow in understanding God's word and your relationship with God. |
