Maps, Charts, Graphs, and Diagrams Words aren't always the best way to communicate information. For this reason, we often use pictures -- maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams -- to help us. With this book, teachers can give students many hands-on opportunities to practice using these visual tools in a meaningful context. Students will learn how to read different types of maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams, as well as how to construct their own. They will also learn which visual tools are best for presenting specific types of information. These activities have been designed to introduce, teach, or reinforce the concepts of maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams.
