From the begining, Martina Hingis was determined to be a champion. She received her firt tennis racquet at age two and entered her first tennis tournament when she was four. Coached by her mother, Martina entered the international junior tennis circuit at age 12 and became the youngest player ever to win a Grand Slam junior title. At 13 she became the youngest Wimbledon junior singles champion. She turned pro at 14 and quickly rose to the top becoming the number one ranked women's tennis player in the world.
