A perennial concern of John Owen throught his literary career was the subject of the Church. Thus it is not surprising that four of the sixteen volumes of his works are devoted to this field. This volume contains several treaties, and principally deals with the subject of the schism. The charge of schism was repeatedly brought against those who sought to reform the Church according Scripture.
