Kit's dog Grace is a local celebrity after Kit writes a newspaper article about how Grace saved her family from a house fire. Everybody seems to know Grace or want to meet her after the article comes out. But when Grace is missing one morning, Kit can't seem to find her anywhere and is convinced that somebody stole her. Kit and her friends are on a mission to locate Grace and discover who took her and why . . . was it a band of dog 'nappers? And will Kit find her dog before she goes missing forever?
