Worldwide missions in the 21st century has taken on deeper dimensions since persecution and martyrdom has become more prevalent, and with the emphasis on human trafficking and discrimination against indigenous Christian activity. While evangelism should be a component of missions, there needs to be a deeper focus on caring for the oppressed and ending crimes against humanity. Joseph D'Souza, president of both the All India Christian Council and the Dalit Freedom Network, and Benedict Rogers, human rights activist and journalist and trustee of the Humanitarian Aid Relief, have written a book full of practical guidance, missions anecdotes and information about the missions field today.
