The early chapters of Isaiah deal with the punishment due to God's people in rebellion, the later chapters stress the Lord's provision, comfort and deliverance in the coming salvation through the Messiah. It could almost be put alonside the 27 books of the New Testament and is one of the reasons why Isaiah has been called 'The Fifth Gospel' -though written 800 years before the Incarnation.
