This book showcases some fine fiction by young writers. More important, though, it offers a workshop-style format that can help other developing writers improve their own story-writing skills. Presents a selection of short fiction written by students in grades four through twelve followed by Bauer's comments on each, detailing what works well and making suggestions for improvements.
