Passing the Torch is a study of leadership based on 1 and 2 Timothy in 13 sessions. The apostle Paul gives Timothy and the Ephesian elders the command to watch their lives and doctrine closely in 1 Timothy. In 2 Timothy, which was written two to five years later, Paul appeals to Timothy to remain loyal to Christ even in the face of suffering. Paul is in prison facing execution and asks for Timothy to come and be with him. The apostle's desire is to transfer his leadership to Timothy.
